AviSense Wins John & Mary Pappajohn Business Plan Award
AviSense.AI was selected as one of the five winning teams of the 11th John & Mary Pappajohn Business Competition, receiving a award for its innovative work in AI, cooperative mobility and Extended Reality-based situational awareness.
The competition brought together innovative teams and early-stage ventures from across Greece, highlighting business ideas with strong potential for innovation, viability and future growth. From an initial pool of 123 projects, 11 teams advanced to the final phase and presented their business plans before the judging committee. AviSense was selected among the five winning teams, receiving one of the competition’s awards.
This recognition represents an important milestone for AviSense and a strong validation of the company’s mission to develop AI-powered and XR-enabled technologies that improve safety, perception and decision-making in complex mobility environments.
AviSense develops solutions that transform visual, spatial and sensor data into real-time operational intelligence. By combining Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, real-time localisation and cooperative perception, the company aims to enhance how people, vehicles and intelligent systems understand dynamic environments and respond to hidden or emerging risks.
The awarded concept reflects AviSense’s broader vision: to move beyond conventional vehicle perception and support a new generation of cooperative mobility systems, where vehicles, infrastructure and users can share situational awareness and act with greater confidence.
For AviSense, the John & Mary Pappajohn Business Plan Award is more than a financial prize. It is a recognition of the company’s technological direction, business potential and commitment to creating meaningful impact in road safety, smart mobility and human-centred intelligent systems.
