Dimitrios Spyridonidis

Computer Vision Engineer

Dimitrios Spyridonidis is a Data and Machine Learning Engineer with a specialized focus on computer vision, artificial intelligence, and scalable data systems.
He holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras and has built a strong foundation in designing intelligent systems that process,
interpret, and act on visual and spatial data.

Dimitrios has also worked as Machine Learning Engineer at the University of Patras, focusing on cutting-edge research in autonomous systems.
His recent work includes developing a real-time AI solution that significantly enhances vehicle GPS accuracy using camera inputs.
This system streams sensor data using Apache Kafka and performs real-time inference in the cloud via Dockerized services.
In another innovative project for DIDYMOS-XR, he built a state-of-the-art deep learning model that fuses inputs
from multiple cameras and a lidar sensor to detect vehicles and road elements in 3D space—a key step toward spatially aware driving assistance systems.

He is fluent in Python, C++, C#, and MATLAB, and experienced in frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
His technical repertoire includes cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, RunPod, hetzner),
data technologies (Apache Kafka, Apache spark), and a wide range of tools for full-stack AI system deployment.
Dimitrios is passionate about the intersection of machine learning, real-time perception systems, and cloud computing—driven
by a mission to develop intelligent systems that bridge digital understanding with real-world dynamics.
